Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy was born in Miami Florida on 16 April 1996. She is half English the other half Spanish. The parents of her include Dennis Alan Taylor an ex-banker and Jennifer Marina Joy psychologist. The father of her mother, who is Argentinean of Scottish as well as English descendant is her mother. She is Spanish and has English roots. Taylor-Joy, who is youngest of five children. Four of them are from Taylor's father's prior marriage. The family was at Buenos Aires up until Taylor-Joy reached the age of six, later moving to Victoria district in London. Taylor-Joy says the move to London was traumatic and that she was unable to learn English so that she could avoid returning to Argentina. Hill House had to be her new school when she switched from Northlands. Later, she enrolled in Queen's Gate School to study ballet and act in school productions. She dropped out of high school at 16 in order to concentrate on her acting career. From a young age Taylor-Joy was aware of her desire to work as an actress. her dreams came true when she was given a modeling job by Sarah Doukas the founder of Storm Management.
