StephanieStephanie Sigman is a Mexican-American actress. Her first role was in Miss Bala, a Mexican crime drama film. She then appeared in Pioneer (2013), Spectre (2015) and Going Under (2016). On television, Sigman starred in Narcos (2015) and S.W.A.T (2017) for the first and second seasons of both series. Sigman was born to her Mexican mother, as well as an American father, Lee Sigman (a New York Yankees Scout from Kansas) as well as a New York Yankees Scout from Kansas, who were both born in Ciudad Obregon. She is an U.S. citizen through her father. [2][3][4] The father of her, player Kenneth Ray Sigman was her mother. Her career began on Mexican television before making her debut on film in Rio de Oro. She played the lead role of Laura Guerrero (Miss Bala) in the Mexican crime-drama. [6] The Mexican entry for Best Foreign Language Film was selected at the 84th Academy Awards. [7][8] The film did not make it to the shortlist. For her film performance, Sigman was nominated in 2011 for the Dublin Film Critics Circle Award. [10][11] In 2011, she was in Catalina Aguado, the Canadian documentary film Flight of the Butterflies. In 2013, Sigman starred with Pioneer which was a Norwegian thriller.
